Step-by-step instructions to install DuraGrass Comfort
Install Duragrass in minutes
It’ll be the easiest thing you check off your to-do list. Follow these steps below for a great experience…and then utilize the PRO TIPS to truly master your yard.

Ground Preparation
SIMPLE PREPARATIoN STEPS
- Cut current grass and weeds down as low as you can
- Use a hard rake to churn up top 1" of soil
- Sprinkle topsoil as needed
- Compact and level the ground
PRO TIPS
- Remove all weeds and grass so you are starting with a soil-only area
- Use a lawn roller or hand tamper to level the soil

DURAGRASS INSTALLATION
placement & anchoring
- Secure side 1 to the ground with provided biodegradable anchors and a rubber mallet
- Pull DuraGrass from opposite end and use provided anchors to secure side 2
- Cut to fit your desired space
- Secure the 3rd side with provided anchors
- If you are installing multiple pieces of DuraGrass next to each other, use the "t" shape of the anchor to secure 2 pieces together.
- If not installing multiple pieces together, or when ready to complete installation, use provided anchors to secure the 4th side.
PRO TIPS
- We recommend using an anchor every 12"-18"
- There is a natural bias of the artificial turf blades, when installing multiple pieces, make sure the bias leans the same direction.
- DuraGrass is best installed on sunny days at 80˚+. This will keep it from stretching later. However, it can be installed in any weather.

On-Going Maintenance
ENSURE LONG Life
- Water DuraGrass and the soil beneath it multiple times a day to keep it wet
- Mow as you normally would
- Ove-rseed in fall and spring (or as your climate dictates) as needed
- Inspect anchors from time to time, use rubber mallet to re-secure anchors as needed
PRO TIPS
- Keep DuraGrass and the soil below it wet until grass has reached about 3" in height
- Over-seed if you find areas that are not growing in as desired
TIPS & TRICKS
ANCHORING
Included with every piece or roll of DuraGrass are biodegradable anchors. We supply enough anchors to secure the borders every 18″. The unique design of our anchors fit through the perforations easily and the “T” shaped top will lock 2 pieces of DuraGrass together.
WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO NOT USE METAL STAPLES OR STAKES. Metal can be dangerous to people and pets, and we want you to have a safe and enjoyable experience on DuraGrass.
It is best to use a rubber mallet to drive the anchors into the ground. This will limit the chance of breaking off the arms of the anchors during installation.
The anchors should biodegrade in under 3 years.
CUTTING TO SHAPE
We understand that most of the troublesome problem areas are not perfectly square. To match the area you want to patch, you can use shears or household scissors to cut DuraGrass to the shape you need.
